Zimmermann-Porsche on the top in the record heat wave

VLN Langstreckenmeisterschaft - Run 4

Zimmermann-Porsche at the top of the ranking

Zimmermann Porsche with its two pilots on their way to the championship in the VLN Langstreckenmeisterschaft!  Even temperatures over 30 degrees could not stop the Porsche Cayman S with the branding of the brake professionals.

"It was not easy today," said driver Claudius Karch. Although the two pilots cope well with the heat, but technology quite reached its limit. Especially oil and water temperature reached absolut peak values, so the electronic reduced maximum speed every now and then not to risk any failure of the engine. "Thus, of course it was extremly hard, because the pressure from behind was absolutely tremendous," said Karch. But the safer variant was significantly better than risking an engine failure. The brakes withstand the heat, and while some competitors had to slow down with overheated brakes, the Zimmermann Porsche keeps ahead.

Pole position after qualifying, fastest race lap in the class and a clear victory in class V6 at the end with several minutes ahead - it was a clear success for Mathol Racing and the Zimmermann Porsche.

The next opportunity is the 1st August. No one would be angry if the temperatures would then turn a little lower - at least a bit.
