During the last racing seasons, Zimmermann's in-house developments of racing brake pads were tested at the Nürburgring.
The Zimmermann specialists as well as the drivers and technicians benefit from the cooperation. The test days at the Nürburgring pose major challenges for Zimmermann products and provide new input for development.
After all, the aim is to be successful with the Zimmermann brake pads at the 24h race. The first victories in the VLN/NLS season and in the 24h race can already be credited to the brake pads.
A special racing recipe was developed for Zimmermann racing pads. The pads were developed with the requirement to offer optimal friction properties. A stable friction coefficient both in long-distance use and in a wide brake temperature range is just as important as braking performance and perfect pedal feeling.
It was also possible to meet the economic specifications of very low brake disc and brake pad wear, so that even in the 24-hour race it is possible to drive with few changes on the brakes. The race team and the drivers are delighted with the development result.
With this, the brake specialists not only want to show what is possible, but also test their own products under most extreme conditions.The Black:Z disc has already been used for several years at the 24h race and in the VLN/NLS. Drivers and racing team are highly satisfied.
