Success hoped for in the Eifel

Three Zimmermann Porsches at the third round of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie

Three Zimmermann Porsches will compete in the third round of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS), the 53rd Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken Trophy. However, the third event will only be the second race of the season, as race two has been postponed to November for weather reasons. After a strong showing at the season opener, Mathol Racing, which fields the Zimmermann Porsches at the Nürburgring, is hoping for good finishes. Team boss Matthias Holle: "For our team, the first race was without luck. We were not able to translate our strong performance into good placings."

The Zimmermann Porsche 718 Cayman S will race in the VT3 class, and the Zimmermann Cayman S is also scheduled to compete in the V6 class. A total of four drivers are scheduled for both vehicles: in addition to Erik Braun, the Pole Franz Dwizok, the Argentine Marcos Adolfo Vasquez and the Brit Peter Cate.

The Zimmermann Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, which had celebrated a strong debut in the new one-make cup "Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring", will be driven this time only by Arne Hoffmeister and the Austrian Harri Prozcyk. Frenchman Dorian Boccolacci is not available this time as he is competing in the Porsche Supercup at Imola.
