Two class wins in the Eifel

Zimmermann-Porsche at the 8th round of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie

The sun was shining at the eighth race of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS), the 53rd ADAC Barbarossapreis. As every year, the organizers were "surprised" by the morning fog, so qualifying had to be postponed and shortened. Mathol Racing again brought the two Porsche Cayman to the start, which again saw the checkered flag. Team boss Matthias Holle: "We were again very successful. The Zimmermann cars won their class, a perfect performance."

The Porsche 718 Cayman S (start number 474) was driven by Zimmermann regulars Wolfgang Weber and Alex Fielenbach, who were supported this time by Jusuf Owega. The trio won sovereignly in the VT3 class. This time it was not enough for the success in the classification group of the near-series cars. The three minutes longer pit stop time compared to the competition could not be made up this time. Team boss Holle. "Strong performance of the team. In the series, these performances are unfortunately not adequately rewarded."

In the Zimmermann Porsche Cayman S (435, V6 class), Franz Dziwok and Jusuf Owega took turns. The duo won unchallenged in the V6 class. Team boss Holle: "For the two drivers it was all about the Nordschleife Permit. They made no mistakes and put in a strong performance."
