Zimmermann-Porsche successful at the Ring

Zimmermann: Review NLS 07 and outlook NLS 08

The outside conditions at the seventh race of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS), the ROWE ADAC 6h Ruhr-Pokal-Rennen, were almost ideal. Only during the morning qualifying session was the track wet at the beginning. Afterwards, it was almost all sunshine in the Eifel. At the race after the long summer break, Mathol Racing also fielded the Zimmermann Porsche Cayman.

The Porsche 718 Cayman S (starting number 474) was driven by Zimmermann regulars Wolfgang Weber and Alex Fielenbach, who were supported this time by Thorsten Held. The vehicle, which was superior in the VT3 class, not only took another class victory, but also won once again in the classification group of near-series cars. After setting the fastest time in practice, the trio dominated the race. And this despite the fact that the team had to make a pit stop three minutes longer than the competition in the other V classes. Team boss Matthias Holle. "Once again a flawless performance by the Zimmermann Porsche. For the future, we would like to see a little more competition in the class."

In the eighth NLS round, the 53. ADAC Barbarossapreis, Mathol Racing will field two Zimmermann Porsches. Driving the Zimmermann-Porsche 718 Cayman S (474, class VT3) will be Wolfgang Weber and Alex Fielenbach. Behind the wheel of the Zimmermann-Porsche Cayman S (435, class V6), Jusuf Owega and Franz Dziwok take turns.
