Two Zimmermann-Porsche Cayman at the ADAC Total 24h-Rennen Nürburgring

This year Mathol Racing is using two Porsche Cayman for Zimmermann in the ADAC Total 24h race. Team boss Matthias Holle: "Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the 24h race will not be held until September this year. That brings us a lot of news. Due to the late date we will drive much longer, about 12 hours, in the dark. And the weather forecast is not optimal either".

The Zimmermann-Porsche Cayman S (starting number 132) in the V6 class is driven by three well-known and fast pilots. Veteran Wolfgang Kaufmann drives the 24h-Rennen Nürburgring for the 25th time. The best result for Kaufmann, who competed in his first Eifelmarathon in 1987, was a second place in 1993, with two newcomers at his side competing in the 24h race for the first time. The Spaniard Andy Souček is an experienced and fast GT3 driver. The Bentley works driver even got a taste of Formula 1 air as a test driver. The young Frenchman Dorian Boccolacci currently drives a Mercedes GT3 from Zakspeed in the ADAC GT Master and is considered a fast newcomer to the GT3 scene. Both drivers are making their debut in the Eifel, but were already racing for Mathol Racing at the Nürburgring last season. The fourth pilot is a fast newcomer. This season, the Swiss driver Rudolf Rhyn is driving an Audi R8 GT4 in the DTM Trophy for Phoenix Racing.

In the V3T class, the fast Zimmermann Porsche 718 Caymann S (starting number 85) will be driving the Zimmermann regular drivers Wolfgang Weber and Alex Fielenbach as well as Sebastian Schäfer and Immanuel Vinke are planned as drivers.

Team boss Matthias Holle: "With the top-staffed V6 Cayman we want to test what is possible with a production car in a 24-hour race. The V3T car is well staffed, class victory should be possible".
