Tests and races on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife

Otto Zimmermann GmbH still active in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie

The cooperation between Otto Zimmermann GmbH and Mathol Racing will continue in the 2022 season of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS). The first race of the NLS, the 67th ADAC Westfalenfahrt, marks the start of the motorsport year on the legendary Nordschleife of the Nürburgring. Three projects will be driven forward intensively by the two partners in 2022.

In the VT3 class, the project will continue with the fast Zimmermann Porsche 718 Cayman S. The first race will decide who will pilot the unbeaten production Porsche this season. Team boss Holle: "Of course we are aiming for class and classification wins again. To this end, the Porsche will certainly also be used in the 24h race."

Mathol Racing is racing in the new one-make cup "Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring" for the first time in the Cup 2 class with a latest-generation Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. The team from Diez is fielding a new Porsche in Zimmermann design. Team boss Holle: "We are competing in this large class for the first time. We will start with a fast and experienced driver trio and hope to have a say in the title."

In addition, Mathol Racing will participate in various trackdays. This will include the use of the road-going version of a Porsche 911 GT3 in Zimmermann colors, which will serve as a development vehicle for a new generation of brake discs and pads. For this purpose, the vehicle will also be regularly driven by professional racing drivers on various tracks.
