Strong performance at the Nürburgring

Group victory for Zimmermann-Porsche Cayman

The Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) kicked off the 2021 season with its second race. The weather conditions at the 45th Nimex DMV 4h race played along this time - a little sunshine with cool temperatures and a dry track. On time, the good 140 starters began the morning qualifying. Mathol Racing uses the Zimmermann-Porsche in the different production classes also this season.

As usual, the fast Zimmermann Porsche 718 Cayman S (starting number 474) was driven by Zimmermann regulars Wolfgang Weber and Alex Fielenbach. The duo delivered an almost flawless performance on race day. With a lap time of 9m 07.565s, the Zimmermann Cayman was on pole position in the V3T class. Weber: "We changed one more little thing on the chassis, and after that the car was perfect." In the race, things went perfectly right from the start. The duo immediately took the lead and continuously extended it. In the end, there was not only another commanding class victory, the Zimmermann Cayman also took the classification group victory in the NLS production cars. Team boss Holle: "A strong performance. Our driver duo managed perfectly to keep well in traffic. As a result, they gained a lot of time compared to the competition."

Driving the Zimmermann Porsche Cayman S from the V6 class this time were two Permit drivers from the Prosport Perfomance team. Belgians Maxime Dumarey and Jean Glorieux drove a consistent race and achieved the good result they were aiming for with second place in the V6 class.
