Fast laps and a class win

Zimmermann-Porsche Cayman at the 4th NLS run at the Nürburgring

115 teams tackled the fourth race of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS). The two Zimmermann Porsche Caymans entered by Mathol Racing competed in the 52nd Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy. Team boss Matthias Holle: "We are satisfied with our performance. We turned really fast race laps and still managed to take a class win in the end."

The Zimmermann Porsche 718 Cayman S (starting number 474) was driven by Zim-mermann regulars Wolfgang Weber and Alex Fielenbach as well as the fast Swiss GT3 driver Ricardo Feller (Switzerland) in the VT3 class. Fielenbach drove the fastest lap time among the VLN production cars on this day with 9.07,752 minutes. It was not enough for success in the classification because a lot of time was lost due to a puncture. So it remained with the class win. Feller: "The change from a GT3 car to a production car is huge, but driving on this great circuit is still a lot of fun.

The Zimmermann Porsche Cayman S (435) in the V6 class was driven by Weber and Feller and Cologne GT3 driver Yusuf Owega. Feller set the fastest race lap in the class with a time of 9m 12.436s. The time the trio lost when the Porsche rolled off the side of the track with a computer error and had to be restarted was not enough to win the class. In the end, second place in the class remained.
